INTERIM LEADERSHIP
Taking responsibility when continuity matters.
Temporary responsibility. Sustainable perspective.
Companies can encounter situations where leadership responsibility must be assumed at short notice – during a vacancy, in a transitional phase, throughout a period of change, or when specific challenges require additional experience.
For me, Interim Management does not mean changing as much as possible as quickly as possible. First, it is essential to understand the situation, secure operational capability, and establish clear priorities together with those in charge.
The objective is not to create dependency on an interim solution, but to foster an organisation that can continue to operate reliably under its own strength once the transition is complete.
WHEN INTERIM LEADERSHIP MATTERS
When a situation cannot wait for a permanent solution.
Vacancy & Transition
A leadership position cannot always be filled permanently straight away. During this time, the focus is on ensuring continuity, making decisions, and maintaining the organisation's capacity to act – until a viable permanent solution is secured.
Change & Transformation
Change requires guidance and execution. When structures are adjusted, responsibilities reorganised, or changes implemented operationally, temporary leadership responsibility can provide stability and clarity.
Growth & Internationalisation
Growth and new markets alter the requirements for leadership and organisation. Temporary responsibility can help build structures, support international development, and prepare the transition into a permanently sustainable organisation.
Specific Business Situations
Not every challenge can be planned in advance. In specific situations, additional leadership experience can help assess the state of affairs, set priorities, and restore clear operational effectiveness together with those responsible.
